This composition is, simply put, an attempt to capture the fun and mischief of those who dwell in the dark forest; Die Zauberer (magicians) and Die Hexen (witches) and all the little ones (elves, dwarfs, and the like). The picture is from an old college photography class I took back in the dark ages (late 1960's).
[NB: Mr. Walker is primarily a tonal composer, and this is a tonal orchestral score featured here because of its special relevance to the Halloween (October 31) debut of the first annual Ye New Music Fayre.]
